3) Jesus offers friendship
For us today
Firstly, have confidence in who Jesus is.
Secondly, accept those Jesus sends
Verse 20, “I tell you the truth, whoever accepts anyone I send, accepts me: and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.”
Who are those that are sent by Jesus?
… those who speak the words Jesus spoke and serve people with the cleansing words of the gospel in the way Jesus called them to.
So how might we do this?
– Read the bible yourself (quiet times, small group bible discussion groups)
– Be able to explain the gospel to others
– 121 bible reading with others
Finally – the way we reflect the same sort of love Jesus showed.
