‘Shepherd’ metaphor

Ezekiel 34:11-16, “I will tend them”, “I will bring them to good pasture”, “I will shepherd my sheep with justice”.

if the sheep enter through him then he will “save” them.
John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth and the life: no one comes to the Father except through me”
John 10:10 … overflowing, abundant life.

A mixed response

For us today

1. Listen to his voice … flee from the stranger
   Listen to Jesus alone.

   But the voice of truth tells me a different story, the voice of truth says do not be afraid, the voice of truth says this is for my glory. Out of all the voices calling out to me, I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth. Voice of Truth, Casting Crowns

4. Be a godly shepherd
5. Abundant life
