The people are amazed
Teaching about God with such authority.
Why did they listen to him in the first place?
- Jesus in disguise
- Fear of the crowds
- God supernaturally binds
Sent by the Father
- sent from God the Father
- test what he says
- seek out the will of God
- seeking the glory and honour of his Father
Misjudging Jesus
Stop judging him by external appearances
Lord to whom else shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God
For us today
You must come to a right judgement about Jesus.
- Your heart matters heaps
- If your heart matters then guard your heart
- Focussed on God’s will and God’s word- Col 3:16 – Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly
- When you have questions or doubts do not let them fester
- Allowed God’s word to change you
