Will someone who says they are going to do a something… will actually do it.
… if God can be trusted to do what he says he will do.
What has happened so far …
Israel feels secure
From their perspective life was good, God was good, they were secure and they had nothing to worry about.
… Israel suffered from self deception
Deut 27 – 28 … blessings of covenantal obedience and the curses of disobedience
God will keep his word
Amos 3:3-6 – six questions
… God will keep his word
… he has chosen them… but that has never meant they could do whatever they want
For us today?
a) Do we believe what God says?
Qu: Do you think God does what he says he will do when it comes to judging people and holding them to account?
Hebrews 9:27 – “Man is destined to die once and then to face judgement?”
James 1:22, “Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves do what it says.”
False security or great security?

salvation is by grace.
But it is not cheap grace.
