Hebrews 1:1-4
Why Jesus needs to remain at the very centre of our faith.
Verse 1 – God has spoken to our forefathers
Verse 1 – in these last days
Verse 1 – through his Son.
Why Jesus is better
Verse 2b – he is the one through whom the universe was made.
Verse 3a – “The Son is the radiance of God, the exact representation of his being”
Verse 3b – Jesus sustains the universe by his powerful word.
Verse 3c – Jesus has provided purification for sins and now sits at the right hand of the Father.
For us today
a) Do not get drawn into spending useless time trying to work out when Jesus will return
b) Who we see Jesus as matters.
c) Why Jesus is deserving of our praise glory and honour.
d) Do we treat Jesus as these 4 verses reveal him?
