God is Angry
Is 34:1 …the nations to account.

… immanent destruction and judgement
…  JUDGEMENT DAY

1)    Why does God judge?
a)    The sovereign ruler
b)    A just ruler
Isaiah 30:18 – “Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait on him
c)    God loves

2)    Is there hope?
Isaiah 35 – real and lasting hope offered
–    Restoration.
… but not for everyone.
Isaiah 35:5-6
Luke 7:18-23, “The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the dead are raised and the good news is preached to the poor
Isaiah 35:8 – “way of holiness“.

–    God’s right to judge and the reality of final judgement
