Judgment and the character of God
Qu: What is the right and just response that God should make to all those who stand against him?
Hebrews 10:31 – “it is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God“.
God is Angry

… immanent destruction and judgement
… JUDGEMENT DAY
1) Why does God judge?
a) The sovereign ruler
b) A just ruler
Isaiah 30:18 – “Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait on him”
c) God loves
2) Is there hope?
Isaiah 35 – real and lasting hope offered
– Restoration.
… but not for everyone.
Isaiah 35:5-6
Luke 7:18-23, “The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the dead are raised and the good news is preached to the poor”
Isaiah 35:8 – “way of holiness“.
