Mission impossible!
Power to get the job done
…baptism with the Holy Spirit empowers the disciples’ to take the gospel of the risen Lord Jesus from the centre of Jerusalem religion to the centre of the Roman government and beyond
Romans 1:18, “the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”
Acts 1:8 … to get the job done
… they immediately start openly proclaiming the gospel to the world.

Gospel proclaiming power
Focus … on introducing people to Jesus rather than pushing you into the experience that I have had.
The need for more power
… distracted with the desire to seek more power.
Acts 4:12, “Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which you must be saved”.
For us today
1) Where is our focus
“long for, seek and cry out for this power”???
2) Why is evangelism hard?
“the mark of spirit’s power in your life is NOT some fragrant bubble bath of spiritual ecstasy but our daily growing in grace, our daily concern for lost people, and our daily readiness and availability to be a witness for Christ”
