Romans 16:25-27

The world of Romans is very much like the world of Adelaide is becoming
So what do they say?
The Gospel is… Rom 1:1-8 – Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and he took on human form and died in our place for our sin on the cross. He rose again from the dead and it is through Jesus we can receive God’s grace, his forgiveness and our salvation. It is because of God’s grace already shown to us that we seek to obey him.

The gospel establishes – Rom 16:25
… ongoing work of the gospel
⇒ points out the truth and it warns them against error.
⇒ points out what God loves us to be doing and it warns us of temptations that will lead us astray.
⇒ strengthens God’s people in their courage in the face of discouragement, opposition and persecution.

The gospel is revealed – v25-26
… through the prophetic writing (scripture) and by God’s command (gospel proclamation of God’s people
… to all people all over the world\    The gospel invites response – v 26
… believe and obey it

The gospel focus – v 27
to him be the glory for all eternity.

For us today
Challenge 1 – Do you believe the gospel?
Challenge 2 – Does this belief result in obedience to God’s word?
Challenge 3 –Are you seeking God’s Glory?
