What precautions are you taking to make sure your heart is receptive?
Is your response to the word of God being choked off?
Are you filled with the worries of life?
Is your life filled with pursuits of pleasure or money?
Changing your soil type
Positively – for the better
Fertilizing others – 1 Peter 2:10-12 says “live such good lives among the pagans that though they accuse you of doing wrong, they might see your good works and glorify god on the day he visits us”
Fertilizing yourself – Romans 12:2 – Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Negatively – for the worse
