Carols on the Hill is an evening of Christmas music with a live band, puppets, free food and fun. Come and celebrate Christmas together with your family and friends.
This year Carols on the Hill is on the 11th of December, starting at 7:30pm. If you’re planning on joining us, read on for important information on booking.
Is Carols happening this year?
Advice from SA Health indicates Carols can go ahead this year, with appropriate COVID precautions and contact tracing. Please plan to come along!
Join us in person
This year Carols is a little different. We’d love to have you join us in person on the day. To keep everyone safe, you need to book online first. It’s free; we just need to know you’re coming.
This helps us meet contact tracing requirements, makes sure that we stay under the capacity limit, and allows us to contact you if the event needs to be moved online. We won’t use your details for any other purpose.
Join us online
If you can’t join us on the day, we’ll be streaming the event to YouTube.
Why not invite the family around and join us from home? You might have to provide your own candles and Christmas goodies, though. Our technology isn’t quite that good yet.
We need to do things a little differently this year to keep everyone safe.
- We’re asking everyone to book online before the event. It doesn’t cost anything, but it helps us meet our capacity limit and speeds up contact tracing. If the event needs to be moved online we’ll let you know.
- We’ll still have free tea, coffee and food. Unfortunately we won’t be able to have self-serve food this year.
- We’ll need to spread out. When you arrive, you’ll be asked to sit in an area on the lawn. This helps us maintain social distancing.
- SA govt health advice calls on us to wear masks (covering both nose and mouth) when singing at Carols events since our capacity limit will be more than 1 person per 4 square metres.
Remember, if you’re not comfortable joining us on the day, you can always join us online. We’re not exactly going to be the Myer Music Bowl, but we’d love you to be part of our local community.
